Alan Coyne is a San Francisco Bay Area-based actor, singer, writer, clown, improviser, and ne’er-do-well. Born in Ireland sometime during the last millennium, he has performed for audiences of varying shapes and sizes since his first appearance onstage as The Chancellor in KING CANUTE at St Brigid’s National School. Since then, he has somehow wormed his way into various theatrical endeavours, perhaps most notoriously as one half of a series of two-person Shakespearean adaptations: 2ELFth NIGHT (with Adrian Deane, Edinburgh Fringe, 2019), 2EMPEST (with Anjoli Aguilar, Eclectic Box, 2024), and MACBOTH (with Eamon Ervolina, BARD Theatre, 2025).
